The Poetry and Thoughts of Jane Carol
FAINT LIGHT
My tears are in the rain
And you are the earth
That drinks them in.
My heart does not feel
Yet you touch my soul.
My leg fears to work
But you lead me on.
My arms are so empty
Yet you hold me close.
My hands can touch nothing
And you offer me yours.
You are my candle
In a dark, frightening world
